Overview

This is a time to connect with the deep yoga of meditative sound and movement, and ritual space holding and healing ceremonies

Monday (moon day) focuses on Menarche ceremonies with yoga practice - healing our first bleed experience, a healing ritual for all women, and Tuesday (Mars day) focusing on Conscious Menopause as an initiation into power - open to all women, but of especial interest perhaps to those over 40.  

 

NB This two day programme also includes an open class in yoga for women’s health in the evening of Monday – from 7 til 9.

Extra special, women’s yoga practical session All women welcome to attend (even if you are not attending the full day’s programme). If you are a woman of any age, with any interest in promoting optimum vitality and deep nurture to support your well being at every dimension of being, then this is the evening session for you: experience a truly delicious and profoundly feminine approach to nourishing yoga for menstrual health, for menopausal health, and to support fertility, pregnancy and postnatal recovery; at every stage of life. There is deeply restorative yoga sleep (yoga nidra) and delicious, luscious movements and elegant gestures and gentle sound. There is beauty, grace and nurture. This session is deeply revitalising and nourishing at a profound level. This yoga for women is all about reconnecting with the deep blood wisdom of womb cycles throughout the whole of a woman’s life, from pre-menarche to post-menopause. The practice of women’s yoga enables us to access the inner guidance of our source wisdom so that we may more readily reside in wellbeing and peace with our experiences as women. It helps us feel grounded, energised, free and joyful!

 

 

Schedule for Monday 14 March

10 til 1030 morning yoga nidra with sound, poetry and meditative connection to the menarcheal initiation 

 

1030 – 11 opening circle – greetings and welcomes, 

11 – 1130 mudras and mantras, with practices to cleanse and release us from previousconditionings and unhelpful beliefs around menarche and menstrual bleeds.  

11.30 til 1 - seasonally attuned movement and breath to reconnect to the source and support or healing of menarche experiences 

12 – 1 Yogic practices and rituals to support our reconnection to our menarcheal self – including letter-writing, rhythmic movment, sound and sharing.  

1 til 2 lunch

2 til 3 walk, with meditative awareness 

3.30 til 5.30 afternoon mantra and yogic practices for healing emotional disturbances - seasonally attuned meditative movements, pranayama, afternoon nidra and re-awakening movement to provide a positive foundation for welcoming menarche and the menstrual journey as a journey of intitiation.

Contribution and Costs

The cost of hosting and organising the event is shared between the participants.  Each person is also invited to make a gift from the heart for the value of the teaching.

The cost for the accommodation, all meals and contribution to the space hire is £115/person. 

This includes arrival on the evening before the course and staying for 2 nights. 

It Is possible to arrange to stay for the days in-between the retreats if you are coming for all 4 retreats.
